Notes:
While serving in the Confederate Army, he contracted pneumonia which resulted in his untimely death.

While serving as grand master, he laid the cornerstone of the Yorktown Monument. In one year, he filled the most honorable offices of Grand Master, Grand High Priest, and Grand Commander.

Notes: As grand master, he dedicated the WWII monument at the Masonic Home of Virginia on October 10, 2009 during the Masonic Home of Virginia Family Day. He also served as Distric Deputy Grand Master in 1999, and commemorated the bicentennial of Widow's Sons' Lodge.
